App affiliate marketing is a performance-based growth strategy where creators, influencers, partners, or any traffic source promote your mobile app in exchange for a commission on installs or in-app purchases they drive. It lets you scale user acquisition through trusted voices and targeted campaigns rather than paid ads, and you only pay for results.
How does Appfiliate track app installs?+
Each source — whether a creator, campaign, or landing page — gets a unique tracking link. When a user taps that link and installs your app, Appfiliate uses deterministic matching on Android (via the Install Referrer API) and advanced fingerprinting on iOS to attribute that install back to the source. The tracking happens automatically when your app calls trackInstall() on launch.
Do I need to collect IDFA or show an ATT prompt?+
No. Appfiliate does not rely on IDFA or any Apple advertising identifier, so you never need to show the App Tracking Transparency prompt. This means a simpler user experience and no impact on your ATT opt-in rates, while still getting accurate install tracking.
